Mike's advocacy for these carriage horses in the media is big. Keeping this issue in the news and working with like minded groups can only force changes by the city. One stumbling block is the strength of the TWU Local 100 and it's roughly 44,000 active members. For the laws being proposed by animal activists and certain city leaders to actually pass, Mamdani will have to weigh the clout of this union and their members. The politics of this issue will be a factor. I applaud Mike's efforts on this issue.
