There should be at all tracks all-night security with stable cameras and active smoke detectors that signal the security office when there is something suspicious.

I've seen the ledgers of several barn areas over the years. It is cheaper for these tracks to insure rather than pay man power and upgrade security measures so that these horrific things don't happen. Like I said, the horses pay the price.

When are people going to realize this isn’t a coincidence?!

This keeps happening because people are leaving shit plugged in overnight, hay next to electric, etc

Angers me horses die from people not paying attention

Agreed, Jared.

They won't fix it they'll knock it down. The place is a insurance nightmare.

The only thing the horsemen care about is the purse money.  They compromise their own positions by starting the racing season in February instead of March and racing until the week of Christmas.  They are also unwilling to fix up and maintain their own barns.

Saratoga is bad, go take a look at Monticello!

What you say is a crying shame. Pure stupidity and negligence. I have been following the story and I am saddened by the death of those horses.

You are correct. It was 17 total. Robin and Chris lost 11 and Tim Benson lost 6. A total shame.
