Here is a little info, you wop retard. The guy who built The Meadowlands and made it into the greatest Harness Track ever was also a Hebrew.   There’s no way that you can compare the meadowlands in 1976 to today’s shit show

I think the passage of time and nostalgia has a way of glorifying reality a bit. Courtney Foos, Ken Iulo, etc. etc. were all sprinkled in frequently then too. Some weekday cards had the distinct look of Freehold on steroids.
Was it better then? Yes - I think it was. At least to my mind. But let's not make it out to be Broadway...

every year people find some reason to take shots at the Mecca. Plain and simple it is. No track puts on a production for the big events like them. The problem is they race only 2 nights a week and once they went from 4-5 nights a week to just 2, it became an afterthought along with the increase of online betting. No one is saying oooh i want to go to Scioto Downs and be in the winners circle,.

Cheaters and druggers running rampant.

Possibly losing the Hambo which lies squarely on Gural.

It's getting subsidized, and looking for further subsidy in a Casino.

Yeh, he held it together, big whoop, he made no lasting impact on harness racing if anything showed how further flawed it is, that it's going down hill, and those that bring it down should be rewarded.

Harness racing is a disaster.  My memories of the BigM, Yonkers are just that, now it's a disgusting mess that allow you to view in real time how the "sausage" is being made
