It's sad and unfortunate.

It's also very public. Service horse, Central Park, ....

That said, 100,000+ horses die every year in North America.

Father Time is undefeated.

It's all over the newspapers hopefully something will get done. They shouldn't allow carriage horses anymore maybe now somebody will look and listen. I know the fucking Muslim won't

you've gotten nothing done you just waste time and the taxpayers money with your welfare... I'm going to contact some friends to get things done about these carriage horses. I know a lot of people in New York being a top trainer and owner

  • dougie: IIB, I think the mayor will sign the bill if it reaches his desk. The optics on this issue is bad for the horse carriage industry. Animal activists are adept to using the media to enlist horror and anger by the public.

  • Ignorance Is Bliss: It's now a bill with city council. Public hearings will be scheduled then the council votes on it. If passed it's sent to the Mayor to sign into law. He has already said he's in. Marte just took over, Bob Holden is the actual author of the bill who retired last year.

  • dougie: IIB, I have been reading some of the work Councilman Marte has been doing on this issue. I think he might be successful with passing the 'Ryders Law" Bill this time around. The image of the horse dead on the street has even been seen here everywhere. If the animal activists can get this on the ballot, who knows how the vote will go.
