Strong wagering caps memorable night
The Camluck Classic program attracted a total handle of C$825,000, marking an increase over the 2025 figure. On-track wagering was particularly strong, posting a 15% increase year-over-year, as local fans were out en masse for the closing night card.

EXACTLY! The doom and gloom losers will not agree with you but harness racing is thriving definitely! New York is taxing the shit out of the casinos up to 30% some of that money is going to the Horseman's fund.

some folks on here need to be able to separate some of the variables of harness racing

yes we all know there is shit going on with certain trainers, always has been , and  we all wish the organizations would do more to rid the sport of these folks or at least reign them in

and yes we would all like to see stronger wagering

so there is that angle, no argument

now on the flip side as someone else said many people making tons of money, breeders, owners, trainers and drivers
most businesses are judged on their return on investment  and their ability to turn a profit

the numbers would suggest that from a bottom line perspective harness racing is doing well overall

One or two fed reports that harness racing is over run with crooks, druggers, race fixers, animal abusers and these politicians have been facilitating it'll all be over.

It won't be isolated incidents.

Corruption, criminal charges void out the contracts, oh you knowingly facilitate crime, oh you didn't know crime on your property  ngc3, buh bye.

Then they'll be offering to suck a gambler's dickiedoo to stay afloat...glad those bridges are burned down.

Pacer 2 can argue against the government pulling the plug, the what isn't corrupt defense ngc3

Since it should be shut down and several people indicted and hopefully beaten to death awaiting trial  ngc3

All you @ssholes who love this money in this environment should be doing so with your f'ing head down...it's exposed and vulnerable to being removed completely!  ;D

I own some horses racing at Yonkers with partners the money is never been better. If you know where to race and you classified your horse properly the money is great and harness racing is thriving!

G.....I am just amazed at the purses at Yonkers. "Old Hilltop" as we called it when I was young was a long ride from Brooklyn, but we went often. Been years since i've been back but I hope to get back over the summer. Good luck with your horses!

Spot on it’s all about having good horses and classifying them where they can be competitive. If so, you can make good money.

Unfortunately there are more horsemen with cheap horses who run for low purses and lose money almost every year.

I won’t argue with that, but I will also tell you there are far too many Horsemen that don’t race their horses where they belong. Lots of people think they have condition horses when they really have claimers.
