It's always exciting to me when the track closest to me opens for live racing. It signals the beginning of summer, although it's been pretty chilly here recently. I will be there next Saturday for Preakness day. This year marks the return of the buckeye David Miller, as being a regular. That will bring up memories from when I was a teenager and in my twenties in the 1990's when he would dominate. No Dan Noble, on program pages for the first few days..must still be banded. Good racing with a decent driving colony, but tough to handicap. Also home to the breeders crown this year which I will be attending all 4 days. Bucket list item I can check off. They have done a good job with their renovations including the new grandstand and clubhouse...not a shithole anymore. First post time is listed at 5:15.. but we all know that means 5:30.
ust tried to get up on their website to download programs. Seems to be dead.Ill likely hit the Saturday card with the minor stake races. Ill start a handicapping thread as long as this site doesnt frustrate me by timing me out.
I've never bet that track. Let me know if you got a "good one" I can bet on.
free program pages on Scioto's website bello
Noble greed got the best of him. Gotta suck stuck at Northfield racing for peanuts
Averaging about 27 minutes a race. Them and Churchill started at same time. They were running neck and neck.Six hours for the card. That's if you figure from 5:30 when they say post time is 5:15. Just as bad if not worsethan Hoosier. zzzzzz
Slower than trying to post on this board. Who decides to be so foolish.I finally tuned out even though I found the racing quite formful.Skipping today. Already looking at the Steaks card for Saturday
. No doubt. They have good racing there with a quality driver colony. Gabe Prewitt was there a few years ago before going to Oak Grove then Hoosier. They must have kept his dragging out a card philosophy. Awful. It will be tough handicapping on Saturday. Mostly 3 year olds in the buckeye stallion series with limited starts. Lots of good horses in that series, one tier below sire stakes although some bounce back and forth. The horse I had us following last year, if you remember, races Saturday and drew 9 hole. Only one qualifier this year. I'd stay away on Saturday, probably just use it as a tightening for future races .
I remember the horse. It's very sweet of you to remind us.My new name is Sweet.Formerly known as "Trigger"Made some dough on that horse.Because I listen to you and follow through.Back in the VS, and we can discuss a spot a future ideal spot. Thanks JT
I see what you did there, well played I have not had a chance to get out to the farm yet this year, been to busy and the weather here has sucked. I plan on going in the next week or two and should have more info then.I will still refer to you as Trigger
