You need to listen very carefully.

Other than harness racing with corn dogs and cotton candy and a rusty ferris wheel, no.

Other than the aforementioned you will be subjected to the same meal in Illinois for the rest of your life...vegetable medley at Fairmount Park.

You still have your memories, Tiny Two Toes Timmy hasn't taken those away from you.

And you can POSSIBLY enjoy some malformed 2026 abomination at Hawthorne for t-bred racing, but most of us are a NO there.

You can man up and hang in this forum, and move on, or you can head to the NOSTALGIA forum, and whimper, and reminisce.

The end!  ;D

Hawthorne is a real shame. Winter harness meet in the late 1970's and 1980's when they had double headers on Saturday. Those were the days. I bet Trigger never experienced any thing like it?

I experienced my version of it at Yonkers and the BigM then.

Tuesday matinee cards and playing hookie form work, school.

Hanging out with my friends who knew some of those trainers many of which were stabled around the Monticello area.

The stench of cigar smoke, and beer from the tap in the grandstand, never fades away...the teller printing up the scratches, with a 2 day old sports eye in hand that had stains from like 4 or 5 meals I ate on it...ready to roll out bets!  ;D
