This is what happens when trainers want to inject sore horses instead of getting X-rays. Sure the X-rays are usually more expensive, but this animal has done more than just "Pay his way"! SMFH!

Excellent point!  The decision making realities can be horrible!

well said tmbz1 tmbz1 tmbz1

the horse was a warrior that raced at the top level--and performed admirably

his 9 race win streak in 2024 and his win streak last winter was very impressive

Taurasi had guts--very sad

he hadn't looked sound in over a month

They never said a word about it on the simulcast. They have two people yapping about picks all night and they can't inform the public that Taurasi died on the track? We're all big people.

these these talking heads are specifically instructed not to talk about anything negative--like Sylvain, Moreau, Allard, or the drastic odds drop after the race starts-the long drag between races(even though Waples does on occasion say something)-the holes that are always open on the first turn or backstretch-soft racing-instead they are told to promote the  jackpot pentafecta--which is a flat out suckers bet unless its a huge mandatory payout situation

it is rather cotton candy media--even though we all know everyone watching is in their 50s or older-they pretend we are in our 20s.........-they could tone it down a lot with the fluff

I am not necessarily pointing the finger at Waples, Bratt, Blowe, Rallis or Rozema--they are just under orders

There are no words for WEG, they are the most incompetent lot you'll ever see with the kind of resources they have at their expense. They are responsible, along with Billy O'Donnell, for the destruction that has occurred up there in the last ten years. I predict in the next two years there will be racing only six or seven months of the year at Mohawk as there are simply not enough horses and even fewer owners to foot the bills that are outrageous.

you and Whip did very well these past 3 months tmbz1

I like Mohawk racing in Dec-Jan-Feb then I don't follow as closely
Smart move because the prices get shorter.
You know that the odds dropping after the start is a problem too.
