They used to have a base $20k claiming level, now it's $7500.
They used to race five days a week.
They used to have some of the most creative and competitive series racing on the planet.
They used to have a weekly Invitational Trot and Pace.
They used to have a "trot night".
They used to have a fillies and mares night.
They used to have thousands of people on the apron every night for every race.
They used to have a driving colony that was literally a hall of fame.

BONUS: NJ used to have two other harness tracks, three if you count Atlantic City.

And  that 40-60 claiming handicap only had 7 horses, two were a JB entry.

Yep. And every card was an "event" in itself. The limos used to line up under the elevator to Pegasus, you never knew who might show up. Never going to see any of it again.

There are multiple horses racing there that do not show 4k or 5k claiming lines that are absolutely not worth 4k and could not come close to bringing that price

Many years ago, Ocean Downs in Berlin Md used to have a 10 cent coin box on each stall in the men's room! Cost you ten cents to take a shit! With inflation adjusted Jeff could install these and bump it up to at least 2 bucks a shit!

You are correct. And we "learned how to beat the stall".  left the door open for the next guy waiting.  10 cents back then was worth way more.
