Rahm Emanuel
« on: March 09, 2026, 05:26:47 AM »
For whatever reason when this guy was elected Mayor of Chicago, that was the beginning of the end of Chicago Harness Racing .  I’m sure he must have ruined alot of other stuff also but I’m being selfish , I miss Maywood and Balmoral.

Balmoral and Maywood, FAILED...

Your competition ruined it...

Cheaters ruined it...

Drug abusers ruined it...

The locals didn't support it...

Look at your last remaining track, Hawthorne who's ruining that...

Even the casino corporations wants nothing to do with it, them, or anyone else...

Sorry, even the state sanctioned (legislation approved casinos and gaming for y'all) welfare dispensers (casinos and gaming) said to you to go fuck off!

Your entire ideology is going to put you an the endangered species list, because in the motherfucking jungle of life, business - blamers, complainers, guilters - DIE!

I'm all for a big investor coming in and doing something that would out do Gulfstream Park and The Meadowlands in Chicago, and bring racing back bigger than ever there, but your type of behavior will not get it done, has the opposite effect.

Rahm Emanuel, whatever he "ruined"or did "great" didn't do a fucking thing to your Maywood and Balmoral.

I was told that in the early 1990s at a IHHA meeting  Bill McEnry suggested to the IHHA that each race track get 800 to 1100 slot machines and everyone at the IHHA meeting laughed at him.

Original post is BS

Triggers novel is dumb as fuck too

Rham loved harness especially the Bal/Cal pick 4 which he and his Jewish brother Ari created who lives in LA. Ari big shot agent who represented tons of drivers out at cal expo. Those 2 always fixing races to score big. Everybody remembers Ira stealing that big pick 4 with Lamar wingard but for those who weren’t at the track that night watching Ira run like the wind thru the grandstand also remember Rahm in a super night booth betting with both hands while Tim storm and doc narotsky were fetching him fried food from grandmas kitchen passing messages back and forth from Rahm to the drivers

Greedy owners killed harness

Those short drunk Johnston bros

Duke in bad shape in and out of hospital with liver failure he’s got that younger Chinese escort he married from Vegas helping him out but recapture $ are running low. Guy still lives in burr ridge his drunk brother Johnny or was it William died long ago

Yes and true to his word he left and bought stock in a river boat.
I am just an old horse trainer still going around in circles. Sometimes Fast. Sometimes Half-Fast.

No harness tracks were in Chicago. Nor are any T-bred tracks. All in the burbs. Rahm had no control.
