Hawthorne Filing for Bankruptcy

The Illinois Harness Horsemen's Association learned late this morning that Hawthorne Racecourse intends to file for Chapter 11 reorganization bankruptcy. We still do not have all of the details but expect to be in court early next week. We will release more information as soon as possible.

Based on that, it looks like the horsemen owed purse money are just another creditor.
