Dan Noble - extreme talent or?
« on: January 07, 2026, 11:41:55 AM »
Dan Noble's UTRS is .577. Is he that good or is there some other explanation?  Why is he banned at Scioto and Dayton?

He is being used as a scapegoat. Race tracks acting like they are protecting the integrity of their product. Ohio is a joke. He is a very talented driver. Northfield has become a better product in the dismal world of harness racing.

He is not just winning but winning by large margins.

northfield has always been ohios best products.

something seems fishy. like all of a sudden at 40 something yrs old he is just the guy with the best hands in the world.

he wasnt always winning 7-10 a night.  maybe its just a good run.
ill tell you what. they may want to check out the race where he ducked the 1/2 shot never pulled i thought the numbers came back bad with him off the ticket.

Northfield may have the best handle but the racing product is much better at the other 3 tracks and it's not even close.

I believe that he gets his positive results by driving each horse according to the animals abilities.Dan isn't afraid to duck off the gate and race with cover. Many leading Drivers want to send everything off the gate, regardless of how the horse is accustomed to racing .

Danny is a very good driver top three in OH.    Yes he has had his problems in the past many has.  He towers over the other  northfield drivers ability wise.   Hence the reason he is winning 5-7 races a night.

Then why is he banned at Scioto and Dayton? Why was he forced to race out of detention during the season then not required to race out of detention the last night?

Dan certainly has talent. He has ability. Without question. Big fish in a small pond. Much better than everyone else. There is meaning behind the numbers though. There are reasons.

One, it's too soon. Too small a sampling. Two, what percentage of his drives are on his own horses, or for certain "friendly" trainers, verses pure catch drives? Even if it's not that much, the intimidation factor still plays out. Three, his talent/ability is distorting his #'s because of the stage he's performing on. Four, watch him over a longer period of time. His current UDRS is distorted. I'll bet Tetrick and McNair are running close to 400 right now.

We deserve to know these answers: why is he banned at Scioto and Dayton? Why was he forced to race out of detention during the season then not required to race out of detention the last night?  His win times were 1:46.4, 1:47, 1:47, and 1:47.2 while the win times for the rest of the races were 1:51.1, 1:51, 1:50.2, 1:51, 1:49, 1:49.1, 1:50.1, and 1:51.3.

Why? Because what he was doing was bad for the sport. I would have thrown him out as well. No answers needed. Simple. Bye.

  • Ignorance Is Bliss: It's now a bill with city council. Public hearings will be scheduled then the council votes on it. If passed it's sent to the Mayor to sign into law. He has already said he's in. Marte just took over, Bob Holden is the actual author of the bill who retired last year.

The image of the horse dead on the street has even been seen here everywhere. If the animal activists can get this on the ballot, who knows how the vote will go.
