He’s making an appearance at Northfield on Sunday night with a trailer of horses. Should make things interesting that night.

I actually thought that too at first but he has two in one race. All three in the two Open races.
Better pack the good stuff for the trip or don't  bother. ;D

Bomber is a legend. He will have his horses ready. Whether they fire or not is a different story. Horses have bad days too.

Bianconi couldn't fill the open. So he called and offered bomber a check for shipping and lodging so he would race his 2 horses in the open and the race would fill.

As grandstand said. It's ok until people get sick and tired of being sick and tired. Seems to me some of the trainers with open horses don't want to race agai st the nobles for 3rd place money.  So bomber is getting g paid to bring some horses

That age gap always comes with a price (new car, wardrobe, vacations etc...)

  • dougie: IIB, I think the mayor will sign the bill if it reaches his desk. The optics on this issue is bad for the horse carriage industry. Animal activists are adept to using the media to enlist horror and anger by the public.

  • Ignorance Is Bliss: It's now a bill with city council. Public hearings will be scheduled then the council votes on it. If passed it's sent to the Mayor to sign into law. He has already said he's in. Marte just took over, Bob Holden is the actual author of the bill who retired last year.

  • dougie: IIB, I have been reading some of the work Councilman Marte has been doing on this issue. I think he might be successful with passing the 'Ryders Law" Bill this time around. The image of the horse dead on the street has even been seen here everywhere. If the animal activists can get this on the ballot, who knows how the vote will go.
