The Meadowlands is a joke. This is just another case where they don’t stick to their word and want it to be a country club for the select few. Big M has been replaced by MVR as the place to race in the winter.

Per had 3 wins and 2 seconds with 8 starters and was allowed by Gural to steal over $27k in purse money from horsemen racing at M1 last night.  And that's with Beckwith making breaks on 2 other favs, so it could've and should've been more than that.  Excellent job protecting the integrity Mr. Gural!   tmbz1

So Gural is siding with the ALG (real court) instead of a rogue NJ race commission that picks and chooses who to go after. What an ass

The ALJ reduced it to 90 days. Gural blew past that and gave him zero days. Because he picks and chooses who he goes after.

Obviously you didn’t watch the idiots YouTube. Gural tried to make peace and get the NJRC to uphold the ALG recommendations instead of having this tied up in court for 2 more years. Not sure what to make of those positives but something ain’t right. If he was using those drugs then 5 other guys were doing it too.

As a side note. Guy has 120+ horses a $6k/month. Do you really believe he would use easily detected drugs on his horses?? I know common sense is not readily available on here   But please think a little

This is buggy racing, they’ll use anything if they think they won’t get caught

Druggers, do not use the word trainers, will use ANYTHING where a test has yet to be implemented. and it is criminal that these people would inject these poor defenseless animals with foreign substances knowing the long term effects are detrimental to the horse!

FYI the drugs in question are prescribed to people every day. Millions of times each day

  • dougie: IIB, I think the mayor will sign the bill if it reaches his desk. The optics on this issue is bad for the horse carriage industry. Animal activists are adept to using the media to enlist horror and anger by the public.

  • Ignorance Is Bliss: It's now a bill with city council. Public hearings will be scheduled then the council votes on it. If passed it's sent to the Mayor to sign into law. He has already said he's in. Marte just took over, Bob Holden is the actual author of the bill who retired last year.

  • dougie: IIB, I have been reading some of the work Councilman Marte has been doing on this issue. I think he might be successful with passing the 'Ryders Law" Bill this time around. The image of the horse dead on the street has even been seen here everywhere. If the animal activists can get this on the ballot, who knows how the vote will go.
