What is Your Plop, Personal & Racing Resolution / Wish for 2026
« on: December 14, 2025, 10:41:06 PM »
Assuming I don't drop dead  ngc3

Plop...meet Ploppers, go there or meet here.  I'd like to go to Illinois and hang out at least a few days with John.

Personal...With the RE market as it is I have to phase II & phase III a project, once done, not have to work despite I likely will still - by around this time next year.  Then do more charitable shit like promote fun, cultural entertaining events that create awareness and raise money for vulnerable causes - health, children, animals...startin g in 2027.

Racing...go to the KY O&D, Hambo, LBJ & BC...miss some of the Hurricane Season in Florida  tmbz1 and winning would be nice there too  ;D

To keep you from flooding and spamming the forum would be a start.
Kissing mods ass has gotten you this far but sooner or later they'll get enough so keep puckering up!

So that's your plop, personal and racing resolution / wish?

Me?

I wouldn't know a MOD here from a Woodpecker...so pucker for who, you?

Do you want me to kiss your on the lips?

Would that lesson your obsession and make you feel better?

Plop I'd like more discussion on breeding, especially with all the new exciting young studs coming up.   Also, I'd like to discuss some of the more regional stallions that are good producing local studs that might get looked over.  You could be at a cheap hotel near some Ohio fair track and there could be a perfectly able stallion just up the road you might want to check out.. Maybe this would be a good idea for an app. Connect traveling people to local studs.

Personal:  I'm ready for another 12 inches.   My golf game is improving and I think if I can drive it another foot at least it would be a big help.

Racing:  Maybe look for some more double gaited horses...ones that can go both ways, you don't see that as much any more.   Also, check out some more fillies and mare paces. I don't follow them enough and figure maybe I could be missing out on that side. Lots of really good open mares coming back...maybe i'll check them out.

Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays everyone.

Merry Christmas, I had a double gaited standardbred, it was a Trotting pacer or a Trotter that paced, a tracer, I Amished it, it was Black so I did alright. Stay away from double gaited

I plan to bet $0 on buggy racing until  Faraldugh allows out of competion testing.

  • MTP1972: The year I hit that ticket for $5500 which they took out 31% at the window my income was very low that year so I did get back all of it as a refund.

  • MTP1972: I never had enough deductions to itemize so even if I was able to claim my losses it only would have been a small percentage. Thankfully the IRS finally changed the law regarding taxable tickets.

  • MTP1972: One year a long time ago I cashed IRS tickets for some people totaling around $40,000 making around $4000 doing so. I picked up thousands and thousands in losing tickets, kept programs and a daily log of how I did. When I filed my tax return that year and claimed them as losses I was audited by some old fart who didn't know shit. At the end of the audit he said I showed enough proof I lost the money back and he'd submit it in his report. 6 months later I get a notice from IRS saying my proof wasn't good enough and included a tax bill of $12,000, which I never paid because after 10 years they forgave it. Unforunately my state piggybacked on it and sent me a tax biil for $3200 which I disputed and they kept adding on interest and late fees. Finally 2 years later my bill was up to $8000 and they sent a wage attachment to my employer si I got fucked big time.

  • MTP1972: Back at Garden State Harness I hit an $11,000 trifecta for a $1 on a horse, Speedy Wright, driven by Mark Kesmodel paid $11 to win. The exacta paid $60 but a real bomb finished 3rd. Unforunately at that time if your winnings were over $5000 they automatically took out 28% + another 3% for NJ State Tax leaving me with only $3800 from a $5500 ticket.

  • Trigger: On 9/14/91 Yonkers Race 6 I bet a pick 4, put $80 in.  I used like 6 in the first leg, like a perceived dummy as 1/5 shot won.  I hit it and it paid @$9k.  The storyis in the trivia thread here.  Not my biggest score ever, but craziest for sure.
