A very very difficult interview for Ryder. My hats off to him. A real horseman through and through.

Why in the hell want to scratch early, i'm sure he was sick about it. I know Chris well enough, he was thinking about the horse, and the purse he had to leave on the table. Not the pick 5

The gamblers dont care about how big the purse is and they shouldn't. That race isn't a major stakes race and the horse is scratched before the pick 5 starts. Someone's job has to be to protect the gamblers. Not saying that job is riders, it isn't. But someone somewhere there has to consider that this is a public gambling game

Even worse than not protecting us, they outwardly hate us. Pretty easy to say the situation sucked. We realize that and provide an explanantion. Some sort of acknowledgement. Instead, they paint us as animal haters who want lame horses on the track. Unbelievable.

Someone's job has to be to protect the gamblers.

Get over yourself. A basic premise of any contest is, if someone loses, someone wins. Why is it we only hear from the losers?

Ryder and company lost $274,000.00 Cdn. You can assume that the scratch decision and timing was painful. But whine free.

Stupid thread. I bet the pic5 . Had my numbers ready to put in and 'THEN' realized the horse was scratched.
It was announced a reasonable time BEFORE the 1st race. Like LUC said. Quit whining because they took your single away.

A popular opinion. That is wrong.
The whining is not because the single went away.
I bet the p5 with the countdown clocl on the screem. 0 mtp on the screen .That is reasonable to you?

Your basic premise is why the entire industry is a non debatable failure. No consideratiom for what's fair for the customer. Just deal with it!

Explain what is UNFAIR. The horse was scratched WELL ahead of the start of the sequence.
The only reason it was mentioned is that it was such a high profile horse and race.

How mucj more clear can I be? I placed wagers using TBJF with the countdown clock ticking. Less than 3 mtp. Around a minute left when I finished sending in bets.

Two separate and distinct issues. Chris is an excellent horseman. He's a professional. He was thinking about the horse and only the horse. Period. Whatever the track (management) tried to do, did, whenever they did it, that is on them. If you got impacted because of the scratch, that's who you are mad at, the track (management).
