JOHN FRANK ARMY did. Fuckin HORRENDOUS!(1) SURE i can use VA. But I also at times use PRIVATE for out of VA. And sine me in VA,I look at MEDICARE ADVANTAGE PLANS. Those in me ZIP with a ZERO monthly payment. I used to have a supplimental but those have balloned at me age to approximatly $280.00 a month and their coverage ain't anywhere as near as they used to be. But now,ADVANTAGE has cut back on what they offer. And basically they ofer nuttin without major paybacks and it more like CALAMITY INSURANCE. (2) So,I'M lookin at all carriers and their coverage. Most interested in DENTAL CARE. Got screwed last year and because I noot look: Took me DENTIST from IN-NETWORK to OUT. Had work done and the WORK cost me 50%. The girls there realized their mistake also and just bill me every month for $100.00 instead of turning me over to collecter. I'm down to $575.00. Tooo be continued.....
Want to thank you both for advise. (1) He who has a hard time seein. I happy you can afford SUP. But you correct,it gone up big time. And there another proplem with I. Once one drops out and heads to advandage and then decides to head back to MEDICARE and SUP,the premiumes escalate even bigger. My QUESTION to you is? Why you not use VA for PRESCRIPTIONS. Why you not use VA as a backup. Are you even enrolled. (2) Tanks MR.HOON. JOHN FRANK ARMY appreciates your r..To be continnued.
JF, here is what I found out about the VA scripts,To apply for the VA prescription program, veterans must meet the following requirements:Service-Connected: Veterans with service-connected disabilities rated at 50% or higher are eligible for free medications related to any condition. Those with lower ratings may still receive free prescriptions if they are for their service-connected conditions. Income Level: Low-income veterans may qualify for free medications based on their annual income and financial situation. Former POWs: All former POWs are eligible for free VA medications regardless of their income or disability status. Catastrophically Disabled: Veterans with catastrophic disabilities are eligible for free VA medications. Aid and Attendance or Housebound Benefits: Veterans receiving Aid and Attendance or Housebound benefits are eligible for free VA medications. VA Pension: Veterans receiving a VA pension are eligible for free VA medications. Special Eligibility: Veterans with specific conditions like ALS may also I may not qualify; I have no service-connected disability and don't have low income.
THANKS DOOOUGE. TRY TO EXPLAIN. Just like PRIVATE,Dental ain't included in VA. Unless you got a DISABILITY,100% or be HOMELESS. They have know changed that to 75% disabled can get DENTAL care. I might add: 4 STARS can't get it,unless they meet disabled requirements. And I personnally don't get it. Proper teeth management is necessary to overall health. Over me years,I've seen freinds that never maintained,THEY DEAD NOW. Got to member. JOHN FRANK ARMY takes all MEDS. PEOPLE I knew went I not takin I need that money for bettin. It kind of SAD. The worst proplem is for those with no MOOLA,it immpossible at times to get proper teeth care. I's just watched a commercial for all new teeth and these 2 people smilin. The COST: $29,000 doolas. YEAH everyone has tat. I guess it a investment and cheaper than bysins a new car. Their a proplem here though. I had 3 permanent bridges put in and it cost a FORTUNE. They eventually FAILED. NIGHTMARE. Same thin will happen tooo the BRIGHT TEETH SCAM. It will work for a while, and then the whole SHITTIN thin COLLAPES. Take it from a older WHO KNOWS.
LET ME explain this to you. I personnally jioned VA too late. I was always under me WIFES health insurance before she passed. I f one had sighned up earliar their would have been 0 for MEDS. Since I sighned up later when me 66 I have to pay $5.00 a month .Since it a 3 month it $15.00. And I have a lot of MEDS. NOW,if you sighned up today: You would probably be payin the same. Their is this MONETARY requirement. If you make too much,YOOUSSE not eligible. But it high. And it not include investments. So if you just collectin SOCIAL,YOU would QUALIFY. And you can apply anytime. Don't know where a VA clinic be near you,but they very receptive to enroolin one and also those that have PRIVATE INSURANCE. THEN another thin: AS far as DENTAL goes> Went today to new DENTAIST. ad $975.00 to use for anytin for rest of 2025. BRUTAL. Teeth cleanin,X-rays,and GUM examinations and I got chargered $750.00 clams. That ok. It all paid for. But here what me want to say: I'M goin with the ATENA VET plan for 2026. It give me $3700.00 for any dental work done for year. No-CO,NO DEDUCTIPLE. BUT this program do not allow MEDS. Since I get from VA,not a proplem. Was worried about CHEMO and associated drugs should I need them, but they covered under MEDICARE. Other meds,I can just take to me provider at VA and she will write the prescription that I can take to PHARMACY and get it FREE. NOW: PAY ATTENTION: On me MEDICARE ADVANTAGE PLAN the most I can pay out of pocket is $5400.00. After that everythin is paid for. If one is lookin at SUPPLIMENTAL at a cost of $300.00 a month a I had plan D. Your lookin at $3600.00 a year. And since I never had to use it or the last 5 years, I have saved $19,000. And you know that DENTAL is not covered. And I get $3700.00 a year with no strings attached. Fiqure it out and you will get me meenin. You got time. JOHN FRANK ARMY does not try to SWAY anyone. He praticle. And you meesses VET BUD.
