Furthermore, the Lankford Bill would've given us the most secure borders, with tech upgrades to combat contraband from sneaking thru. Crime/cashless bail leading to repeat offenders WRONG! Cashless bail has not led to an increased recidivism rate, rather a reduced one just like overall crime which in some cases are at record lows vs past decades.
Foreign policy failures/allowing hated regimes develop nuclear weapons Who killed the JCPOA (Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action 2015) that was struck during the Obama administration, keeping Iran from further nuclear ambitions? It was Donald J Trump in 2018 who withdrew from the deal and reimposed sanctions.

The deal between the US and Iran was they would release US citizens held in Iran for an okay to South Korea to release the funds held to Qatar, to be disbursed to Iran for humanitarian needs.
The deal cost us nothing, and we got back people being held. The money held now by the Qataris can only be used for food, medicine, etc.

it's ok. I wasn't sure what deal, and to be fair, all people remember is "we gave billions to Iran" because that's how some media outlets and internet pundits framed it. Kudos to South Korea for honoring our freezing of assets; to Qatar for making sure the money goes to needy Iranian civilians; multilateral diplomacy can work sometimes. Having US families see the return of loved ones has always been special.
