Which track?

After you said I saw he won a couple at the Hippodrome 3R which is about 750 mi (1200km) from Newfoundland.

Charlottetown

He's thinking of 3R Hippodrome in Quebec, and the province Newfoundland is home to a Charlottetown but the track is in Charlottetown PE / PEI.

Please correct me if I'm wrong.

You are correct, sir. And I enjoy watching that racing. Not as many courtesy tucks as, say, Yonkers. And, once you get past the top few, like Marc Campbell and Gilles Barrieu, who IMHO, could drive anywhere, many of the occasional drivers tip the scales at a rather hefty figure ( and that’s assuming the weights are recent}

Mohawk is notorious for courtesy tucks, and pulls too, how many damn horses lost their momentum.  Almost never a driver objection.  It's all about them, I agree about Yonkers, there is plenty of money enough for all of them so why fight.

Glad you like Red Shores, top drivers making maybe $40k a year, leads them to have to train too and those fees, own, it's all or nothing there.

Their purses stink, their handle is crap, and they have a casino, it's baffling who negotiated that deal.  For honest, motivated, hungry horseman I'm all for them getting more - I'm a gambler we're used to getting sodomized.  If they want to revitalize racing bring in some guaranteed pools and take the trash out.

 Rene's former maritime trainers have the horse, look @ the owners

 You think Kap, Mr.Hill & Kalinowski just give a good horse to a lobster fisherman?

 Don MacRae is Rene's biggest fan

It's a great game, if you have the means to play

 It doesn't hold weight when people are only doing something out of spite, after being kicked out & having nowhere to go.

Rene put a bunch of yearlings through the sale in Pei on Friday.   Donald Macrae and Earl watts both bought some.  Money laundering at its finest.
