There’s more money bet on dog racing than this track.  Anybody know why the pools are so bad ?

Some of the ADW's don't take their signal.

The people at the computer-assisted wagering (CAWS) stay away since there is so little in the pools. CAWS is over 50% of the pools at the bigger tracks. Some of the big-name tracks its even more

CAW win payouts have broken the will of many small players.

AGREE 100%.  THEY HAVE TAKEN AWAY THE SMALL BETTOR AND ARE ACTUALLY HURTING WHATEVER GROWTH THERE MAY BE IN THE SPORT. 1/9 AND 1/5 PAYOFFS ARE NOW A NORM. I HEAR THAT SOME CAL TRACKS BAR THEM. GURAL BARRED THEM FOR  A WEEK. HIS HANDLE PLUNGED, AND THEN HE CHANGED HIS MIND AND LET THEM BET.

Hillbillies down there don't have a lot of discretionary income. Doesn’t make sense to have a track there except to give horses some exercise once a week racing.

The track is there because they have historic racing machines, what the track handles is irrelevant.

yrs ago horseman wanted to think horse racing was a real job.  like a real daytime job. the meadows started racing during the day and others followed.
regular real people are at work during the day not at racetracks. I don't think daytime racing is the only reason people don't bet or show up to the track but I feel its one of the reasons.
only degenerates will be sure they can wager day or night. regular people who would rather have better schools and better roads aren't getting the app to wager at 1 pm on a Wednesday.
