2025 Lexington Select

How the hell does a Walner colt out of hake it Cerry sell for $50,000?

Had to have conformation defects to fetch that shitty price

I have not looked at it on video or in the ring but that is insane

Lot of very low prices Aiana G's Walner Colt went for 48,000

Economy is tanking so maybe that's one of the reason

Time will tell but the tariffs are going to tank it as we pay the tariffs when buying stuff.

Rising tariffs / trade policy uncertainty
Tariff increases and trade conflicts are injecting uncertainty, increasing costs, and creating headwinds for supply chains.

Many industries cutting jobs
Over 50% of U.S. industries have reportedly shown declines in employment in recent months.
The Economic Times
+1

Dollar weakness / capital flows
The U.S. dollar has weakened significantly against other major currencies

These are major warning signs

My favorite is Hip 4 for 800k to Martinez Equine. LOL when you see the cowboy hat you know it’s fake! Everyone knows he’s in with all those guys, most of the owners will still own her and he’ll break it off in any new owners that come into the group. Buying a yearling on day one with these guys running the set up bids is the definition of throw away money.

If you are a day 1 buyer then the economy is most certainly not tanking for you and inflation is actually a feature not a bug

Both mares have had 5+ foals with moderate success and both were colts.  Based on the video I liked the one out of Ariana G better - built more powerfully

Watched the video, didn't love him but didn't see him in person.

I'm surprised the Stable didn't bite on him, to be honest. He must have been bad in person.

All this hoopla over the blue blood trotting fillies and their residual value after this years hambo winner had a pacing bred dam.

Some huge prices paid for Filly trotters. One million, 900,000, & 800,000 is crazy...in my opinion. Then again it's not my money. Good luck with your purchases.

Averages were down a bit but I actually thought this catalog was not as good as years prior, so not too surprised. Overall very strong prices

With the new 100% business write off clause included in the new "Big Beautiful Bill, the sky has now become the limit for investors. Keys just dropped a cool million dollars for one at the select sale this week!( Anxious to see the unbelievable prices across the board when "The Big Black Book" sale is completed.  tmbz1
