The first race at Tioga had a total of $82 in the show pool and $183 in the place pool.  How do these tracks survive with this kind of non-action.

I was there one weekend day in 2007 and the place was packed. You had to be on line to bet early otherwise you were shut out.

Economic impact!  That always makes me crack up.  Harness racing has X impact.  As if the money spent elsewhere wouldn't.
