More Maryland Shenanigans?
« on: August 27, 2025, 07:28:46 AM »
Looking at results from Maryland Sire Stakes I notice that two Wagner bred 2yos raced.  One winner, one third.  The part I found interesting was they were owned by the same person out of NJ.  This horse owner then decided that long-time lackey/buddy of Wagner, Adrian Wisher was the best option to train these horses.  While capable and a decent horseman, why was he selected to be listed as trainer?  All seems a little fishy...but I guess it could be nothing.

Love how all of a sudden Wisher Jr owns and trains so many of horses bred and raised by Wagner and Tony Morgan is in with them.

Millman should be a banned for bearding for him as well!

I guess the USTA, SRIF, and the MD authorities are doing a piss-poor job.

They do nothing unless their hand is forced.  We need SCM on the case!  Say what you want, he gets results!  Wagner's are still stealing from you MD horsemen, but I guess you people don't care.

100% correct!  Not sure why these illegal activities aren't looked into more.  It's not just shady harness racing shenanigans; these are bigtime laws being broken.

Exactly! It's definitely time to toss the USTA rulebook aside and Crack down on the Federal laws! The punishments handed down by the racing commissions don't deter illegal activities at all, but if owners & trainers are by the feds, it will send a much stronger message 💪!

You noticed that too. An owner that “bought” 3-4 horses and hasn’t owned a horse in 20 yrs suddenly decided to buy horses all from Wagner and trained by a Wagner employee. It’s not only shady but criminal
