The cynics, critics, naysayers, and the like, will always say he's a vet. They have to. So was John Hayes and John Cummings. About Moore, some will point to the Jug incident and like with any incident, there's the rumors and the truth. I think he's an excellent horseman. He's also a nice guy. It's not like he's some flash in the pan, overnight success, etc. The guy is a lifer, and he's done very well, and made a great deal of progress, over the course of his career. He is well liked and well respected by his peers.

Blow it out your ass. He got caught cheating and should have lost his Vet license.

One of the best horsemen in the last 25+ years.  Right there with Jimmy T., Ake S, .....mayeb could include Brett Pelling there???

Arguably; I would agree. Definitely successful. Also, Moore doesn't start out with 30 or 40, or more, babies every year. He runs a fairly small operation. I think this past winter he had about a dozen 2yo's, including some that were sent to him. He certainly produces very good results based upon the numbers.

The "he's a vet" comment came from Mohawk from someone in the business. Why does he get a free pass when this community accuses so many others?

A licensed veterinarian should be stripped of his license if he is caught drugging illegally. Simple as that. It is irrelevant if he is a nice guy. They are held by a code of ethics. No different than when a lawyer breaks the law and is disbarred.

Moore shouldn't get a pass. He didn't. He got fined and the horse got scratched. It was the three judges at the OH Fairgrounds that scratched the horse, not the OHRC. The fact is there was no contraband found, no drugs found, no paraphernalia, and no positive test. There was a detention barn rule/procedure violation. Under the trainer responsibility rule, the buck stops with Moore. I am sure plenty of people will say something got swept under the rug.

Here's the story from SC.....

I haven't a clue which is the better colt so I'll take a cop out and say it depends on the trip. But here's the problem. I don't think either can win from the front while giving the other guy a tow. And I don't think either can overhaul the front runner from a pocket trip. Soooo... what's going to happen?
