« on: June 22, 2025, 11:27:42 PM »
Race 14 crash Ebersole blatantly comed down on Lems, probably costs him the race..They blink Ebersole and keep him up...how? why? Bullshit call by the blind mice and Ebersole gets away with being careless again. great job blind men. 73cv.2 11.wp

There is absolutely no way that horse should've stayed up. Worst call I've seen in years

JC I dont recall Merriman hanging anyone around the final turn, he was on the 7 and was pretty much done by the half, if memory serves me right. I watched it live and haven't gone back to review the replay. But I was texting a buddy of mine as we always do when betting, and he said same thing, no way it stays up.

It seems at Northfield the Judges turn a blind eye at various times, idk if they're betting, someone else is for them or wtf goes on there.
I do know I have heard quite a lot about the shenanigans that do go on there, especially when I go there which is several times a year.

I'm fairly certain the judges are not betting!

They may not be, but some of the calls or non calls there are very questionable. Sometimes even blatant in your face things, they don't put up an Inquiry.

Swank..
Youre right..it wasnt Merriman trying to get by and didnt
--

And ill ask. It was a nw1 pace. Young horses.

Do judges give a little more 'legal leeway' to inexperienced animals, and the drivers that try to hang on sometimes for dear life vs open level pacers? And if they do, does that explain their decision. And is it right?

This we know, the longshot Ebersole #4 winner was on the move towards victory, AND the Lems #3 was also in a forward motion on the rail when he was cut into.
**Somehow, the 'program lines man' upstairs did not include the letter 'i' for interference on #3's final turn/before top of stretch. Possibly he left it out so the #4 win decision would have no taint.

Taking 73-1 #4 down WOULD HAVE BEEN A VERY REASONABLE DECISION.

Ebersol vacated the spot. Lems was rightfully filling it in. Bad and dangerous no call

Always gave Luke some credit in the past but i swear he’s gambling.  Maybe its just me but for the last several months he hasn’t put his drives in favorable positions.  I swear he’s throwing races (and no i didn’t watch race in question)

  • Ignorance Is Bliss: It's now a bill with city council. Public hearings will be scheduled then the council votes on it. If passed it's sent to the Mayor to sign into law. He has already said he's in. Marte just took over, Bob Holden is the actual author of the bill who retired last year.

  • dougie: IIB, I have been reading some of the work Councilman Marte has been doing on this issue. I think he might be successful with passing the 'Ryders Law" Bill this time around. The image of the horse dead on the street has even been seen here everywhere. If the animal activists can get this on the ballot, who knows how the vote will go.
