I have to say these two gave both their horse a perfect drive. They both have ice in their veins , they sat in the paddock the whole night waiting to drive in the biggest race of their lives and the biggest race in Canada with no other drivers to break up the nerves like every other drive in the race and came out and delivered two perfect drives. Gentleman you have both just arrived on the big stage . Well done
Really happy for both - Ronnie is a good dude and Boyd seems like a guy you’d like to grab a beer with but objectively I don’t think either would say it was a great drive. Ronnie power moved into a 53 half and went more to the 3/4s than any other version of this race. Most horses don’t get home off that. He pretty much said after that it wasn’t an ideal drive.Braxton pry didn’t have a whole lot of options from the 10 hole but I thought he showed his lack of experience in the elim. He could have taken a second over trip instead of power moving into a 53 half. He might have been the winner if he did Also a bit lost - and rightfully so - Zeron takes another long shot, doesn’t overdrive and picks up some major pieces
Braxton out drove all in that race! He’s over 50-1 and gets second and you’re complaining. Geez. Complain about Miller who ha a senile moment behind the gate and decides it’s best to take back to last. Or Dexter thinks his best move is to float off the gate and never sees the wood. Or Bartlett thinks his best move is to come first up in a 53 half. Or McNair decides to give up 11 lengths at the quarter and never gets free with a lot of pace. The two guys you criticize drove best and finished one two. 🙄
The thread was about those two having perfect drives so I commented on the fact I didn’t think that was really the case. I think the horses overcame and Ronnie said as much post race. Madden Oaks isn’t 50-1 if Braxton takes the second over behind Fallout in his elim vs 3 deeping just past the quarter because he probably wins the elim.Since you brought it up - They were moving enough Bartlett should have stayed put since his goal was to pick up a checkDex drive was fine - he went a 28 first quarter and 55 half then was towed in second over. Horse just didn’t pop and he was on the line around the final turn. You can see Dex fighting himNot sure why Doug gapped so bad but that also hurt David. I’m guessing he took back seeing Yannick carving on his out if the gate and Boyd to his right going all he could smoke. He went the biggest last quarter other than Bako’s he just wasn’t close enough - partly because Doug gapped so bad
Further proof American Drivers are the best?
He's from Michigan all right, but what 'Michigan' track does he drive at?
