After reading the depositions and case content of the upcoming SBOANJ trial in New Jersey I felt compelled to speak up. This info comes on the heels of the revelations of malfeasance by the likes of Howard Taylor,Jeff Gillis ,Nick Devta,Mark Ford and many others.
 Instead of attacking the messenger Mike Petrelli ,everyone should be demanding action from the powers in charge. The good hard working horsemen have been failed by this broken system. There is power in numbers and every successful protest movement has come from the ground up
How about the appointment of a commissioner like every other sport in this country to oversee and police itself. 
I don’t have all the answers but I do know that if good people speak up and demand change it can happen

As to the ‘commissioner’ issue, seems it would require harness racing ‘decouple’ from the STATES’ parimutuel system while moving to the fixed odds ‘sports book’ system.

On a positive note i think it’s good that the people on this forum seem to care about Harness Racing because I don’t think too many people in the real world do.  Hopefully Mr Gural will be around for a long time because when he’s gone you can kiss the Meadowlands goodbye.  The place loses money every month, who would be stupid enough to want to take it over
