Firstly I donated $1000 directly to Birch Creek Farm for the care of the rescued horses. No momey ever went through the hands of Mike. Secondly that has nothing to do at all with the premise of my topic. We need to put this petty personal bullshit behind us and collectively come up with a game plan to save the industry. I would recommend a panel be set up to discuss strategy including the appointment if a commissioner

Dave you’re right the best way to fix the problem is to hire a commissioner and I would suggest it be from outside of harness racing. To start another organization would be futile. The members need to take over the USTA and kick existing leadership out. Change the rules and make it the end allgoverning body of the sport with commissioner that has final say. It’s a pipedream though because of the huge egos in the game.
