A good way to get Dave Little out of the booth is a donut attached to the end of a fishing line, reel him in.
Her sister Jenna who does that for Scioto Downs is much better.
They don't watch qualifiers. They don't watch races from other tracks so they don't offer any insight into shippers and how they stack up against the competition.Gabe does all that and gave his opinion based on a gambler's perspectives. Yes he does bet other combos other than what he gives out on tv more as cover bets. Gabe can also map out a race scenario, does it always work out. NoAll I hear is verbal diarrhea from Dave and Jessica, they can't read a program and imagine how a race is going to setup.I could tell you who Little is going to gravitate to bc it will be the program favourite, not the hidden horse taking money.Hell I've watched close to 150 000 + races in my lifetime and could offer a lot better takes on races than these two. One thing public cappers have a disadvantage in is reading will pays, odds cycle changes, watching scoredowns and such that others have more time to absorb.
I enjoy Dave's workbut it is impossible to listen to her
If they balanced Dave with someone a younger crowd would look forward to hearing it would work. Dave is a very non threatening kind of guy, kinda like an Uncle just jabbering away about the races, which is cool. Also, can they find someone with a fucking pulse to do the paddock interviews???
Now this might sound crazy. But if you are truly trying to attract a younger demographic. First, how many people Jess' age watch the Meadowlands show? Not in the industry either. The idea is to relate and engage a new audience right? Jess is young and she's not stupid. But she is so far from relatable anyone her age first tuning in will tune right back out. The high pitch stuff with scrambled info that anyone outside the industry doesn't understand is useless. Why pitch to the crowd who's already in the game? That's all they're doing, and maybe the older degenerates who watch and wager. But you know who did the job correctly? Spoke in a simplistic and relatable way to newbies? Almost like the Starbucks barista of harness racing? Jenn Bongiorno. And she even did that show from Trotters which had she not had to split the duty with whats his face would have been a helluva content for TikTok. And why doesn't The Meadowlands use TikTok btw??? You want to build a younger fan base??? Well instead of chicken races.....
