With all the love for Hunter and hate for Gural the 4th race at the Meadowlands is good for everyone. All betting proceeds are going to a great cause in supporting Hunter’s family. Gural is going to match all funds out of his own pocket so a win for all! Bet BIG and LOT!!!

I saw that and am wondering exactly what the betting proceeds are made of. Is it the track's takeout for the race, which would be somewhere around 20%. Whatever Gural ends up matching will end up being a charitable contribution for him & for most bettors will also be a charitable contribution, but in their case won't be a tax write-off.

To get the charitable deduction it has to be a 501(c) you are donating too. So Gural is coming out of his pocket for this. Seems like you might be betting for the hate?

In the race description on my betting app it says The Meadowlands and SBOA "net revenue " from this race will be donated.. Nice gesture and its not an amateur race. I usually don't play The Meadowlands but I'll fire some in there for that race. On another note it appears the Mccarthy brothers and Scotty Z are there tonight as well.
