Brett Beckwith great with Eight
« on: March 24, 2025, 05:02:43 PM »
Ties the Saratoga track record for wins on a card by a driver.  No doubt the youngest to achieve that! Congrats kid.

the kid is very good
however lets keep things real for now especially on the Saratoga front
he drives some heavy favs, many trained by his "mother"
its a half mile track, your on a 3/5 shot from a good post its not that hard to figure it out
i do expect him to be a leading driver in 3 years

Obviously, you never made it past eighth grade with that use of the English language.

serious question.
do you guys kneel when you blow this guy? do you use hands or no hands? cup the balls or nah?
how many of those wins were fraudelent by daddy taking horses in and out on race day to the farm to get there hot lunches.  those ones you cant point and steer can you not?

In a positive way, it reminds me of the people with TDS who are obsessed with Trump. When is enough, enough?

No knock on Beckwith. He is above average and a win is a win but the driving colony at Saratoga is by far the worst in harness racing.

Good kid and can drive against the Stga colony (moms training above 550 doesnt hurt).  The 8 wins yesterday must have tired him out  only 2 today with a lot of short priced horses.    That being said, I’m glad he is doing well in what he loves..

  • dougie: IIB, I think the mayor will sign the bill if it reaches his desk. The optics on this issue is bad for the horse carriage industry. Animal activists are adept to using the media to enlist horror and anger by the public.

  • Ignorance Is Bliss: It's now a bill with city council. Public hearings will be scheduled then the council votes on it. If passed it's sent to the Mayor to sign into law. He has already said he's in. Marte just took over, Bob Holden is the actual author of the bill who retired last year.

  • dougie: IIB, I have been reading some of the work Councilman Marte has been doing on this issue. I think he might be successful with passing the 'Ryders Law" Bill this time around. The image of the horse dead on the street has even been seen here everywhere. If the animal activists can get this on the ballot, who knows how the vote will go.
