What he doesn't understand is, parking the field in a 5/8-mile race with a cheap horse is a sure way to lose, especially when the first quarter is 25.1. His best chance was to let Tyler's horse go and sit second.

In this case I think Tyler was the bigger idiot for not backing off and taking the 2 hole which was big enough for an 18-wheeler.
