if he didn't take the 7 days now, he would have had to serve more days in late May and early June

The Preakness and Belmont are much more important than 1 week in early March

it has absolutely nothing to do with Baffert or lawyers

this is old news announced a few days ago

No difference in this and any other minor infraction in real life. You plead no contest and always get a lesser penalty than someone that ties things up in court wasting taxpayer dollars

That is not true. How many times has Burke waited years to serve suspensions & got reduced time? Holloway, Engblom, & many others have/had suspensions delayed for years too.

The point is that is the difference in Baffert and Pletcher in this case. I have never understood why some racing commissions will lower the fine if appeal is dropped after a year. That ain’t only for the big guys. See it all the time
