Buffalo Raceway Pools
« on: March 02, 2025, 09:50:37 AM »
The Pick 5 pool last night was $487.  I don't think I have ever seen a pool that low.  The winning ticket paid $187 I believe.

Thunder Ridge once had a race where there was only something like $20 bet across all pools.

They don’t need pools anymore. Purses are funded with slot money.

Jim Mango Killed Bufffalo Raceway. Made the place so fan ugly that its hard to go there.
I used to go at least once a week. Now I refuse to go. He's an ugly man, inside and out. Troubled
indeed.

Unfortunately, it's the landscape of the sport and industry----one of those tracks that would normally close as part of a purge, but will/might be kept going due to gaming, some other line of business, or political bigger picture. I think ownership just bought another big properly adjacent/across/etc.

  • Sweet: The fact of the matter is the win pool on Beau Jangles was I believe a negative pool,  his real odds not 1/9 but 1/99.  Enough already, we're the real patrons of thius F'ing sport, many of us also care for these animals despite the best don't want drugs and whipping, abuse.  Competition yes!
