Off site you really are speculating without any number of complications unseen
when watching at home. I was surprised by it.

why no contest

The 5 horse with Braxton Boyd fell just after the start of the race, (interfering with the 7 & 8) the horse and Braxton got up and it appeared no significant injury's? but Braxton is off the rest of his drives.

that was unreal.  Called a no contest after running and completing the entire race!  It's a mile track and horse went down after the start.  This track has become so corrupt it's sad.   What a mess!

Bad call imo.  Only because loose horse was caught and Brax was thankfully up and off the track before horses even finished.

While I didn't like the no contest call by the judges........... ..

The decision definitely wasn't "corrupt" no one gains by refunding everyone's money, the track loses money by the refund.

Fortunately no serious injuries to horse or driver
Should not have been a no contest,  majority of the field was unaffected by the incident.

Don't use a fact to cloud or belittle some conspiracy theory of corruption. LOL.

I looked up the earnings for the winner, and he was credited with the winners share of the purse.
So at least the horseman got paid.

Correction I looked up the wrong race.
The horse that fell was credited with no money.
Bobcat Bay and Villiam were each credited with $1,500, but I don't know where they finished.

Do you know if they paid the horse or horses who didn't finish the race since Meadowlands supposedly pays all starters?

The USTA chart shows no order of finish. So really no way to know. Generally even in a 5 horse field any horse that is DNF doesn’t get paid. There was a NJSS race a few years ago with 2 horses in it. One was on a break for a long time and the driver pulled it up. The other horse got the whole purse

I had to correct above post.
Sorry for my mistake.
The purse $10,500 divided by 7 finishers is $1,500

The only people who felt like no contest was appropriate were the judges. Spare me with the nobody gained from this bs. I did. All my losing bets were refunded. It was fantastic. Was like stealing money legally. Anyone else who bet and lost the race also gained big time by the decision
