Can we have an all family race or family challenge @----
« on: February 11, 2025, 02:24:12 AM »
Batavia Downs/Buffalo Raceway?

There seem to be many Cummings members as well as Mcneight members.

I'm also not sure who married into whose families either as this could get more members involved.

Can anyone who follows WNY racing fill us in on this?

You have what you are asking for every day at every track. They are all related. No branches on most of those family trees.

Just tune into Monticello. Between the Mertons and all the inborn family members you get them every day.

Can we bring back the eldest McNeight (Eddie Jr.) for these special events?  My understanding is he is still involved in the sport and is about 70 years old.
FYI, Eddie Jr. Won quite a few drivers titles circa 1980.
Also, his wife at the time won a training/driving title in the early 1980’s.

Who would win the family challenge race if they have one?

I’ll take the McNeight family.

Monticello had a race back in the 80’s or 90’s for the Manzi family.

Are the Cummings and Flanagan connected?

Russo’s wife owns a couple, his dad and uncle were crooked trainers years ago. Louis Russo used to drive and train but not allowed name on anything anymore, been that way for years. He got busted bringing horse trailer full of drugs for horses across Canadien bridge. He then blew the whistle on his 2 buddies, Hugh Stevens and Kenny mego, nice friend huh. Bucceri is a nephew to former trainers / drivers joe and Chris carrubba, both cheating drug using fools back then. Buccerri not bad kid, he tries and lots of trainers and drivers don’t like him because he will disrupt the race by leaving or something when other drivers have a race setup.
