He was overconfident and didn't get after the horse until right near the finish line and got nailed. Reminds me of his call in the Hambo years ago when it looked like Greenshoe was going to win easy and his call was "Greenshoe drawing clear" but Forbidden Trade dug in and held him off. One of the most embarrassing race calls ever, especially in such a big race.

Greenshoe never had the lead at any point in that race yet he was drawing clear

also that Hambo day when Lather Up set a still standing world record for 9 furlongs--he never found Lather Up until after a half mile when he was on the engine the entire race

the guy is horrible

The guy who asked me twice if I wanted to go down as trainer for Josh Marks before Dowse took over. Same guy who also asked if my wife would do it. My two favorite quotes were "It's easy money Petrelli!" and "Josh would never hurt you". Yeah, squeaky clean.
