I have no idea what the law is out there, but if he has money, he will get an attorney. If he has no money, then it's the PD. Even if he has money, he'll probably rely on a friend of a friend, someone's advice, etc. Listen, we are not talking about a high-powered, extremely well connected celebrity/athlete here. Regardless, if this is strike three or four, he's going away. It's nothing more than damage control at this point.

All the discussion aside, he needs to pay the price and suffer the consequences of his own actions, the disease, whatever. It's one thing for someone suffering from addiction to destroy their own life, and completely, absolutely different, than destroying someone else's life (someone else and their family too). He has to pay the price. I hope for his sake, this is rock bottom, and he makes the decision to get the help he needs and gets clean and sober.

Said I was done but so much speculation I decided to look it up. If indeed this is the fourth:
60 days to 36 months jail/prison, fines $1,350-$10,000 ,3 yrs to lifetime license suspension [3yr min]
DUI Party plates [mandatory] ignition interlock [mandatory] alcohol assessment [mandatory]
Alcohol monitoring [mandatory with driving priviledges] He was .002 from them being slightly more severe
I obtained these matching figures from multiple sources.

It's amazing what alcohol will cause a person to do. There is no way Aaron  says the crap he said to the cop when he's sober. That was some brutal stuff. He called him ugly, which is pretty juvenile,  but he also accused him of being a child molester ffs. I can't imagine what was going through his mind when he finally sobered up. Thank God and baby Jesus he didn't hurt or kill someone

If I was his attorney he would have been in rehab the next day along with issuing heart felt apologies to everyone involved. Show the court you're willing to get help.  And actually follow through on it. Take 6 months off and work on the problem. It can be done.

Still thinks he’s the victim I’m sure.  I hope they suspend him from racing for a long time!

Absolutely. It's all part of the disease.

As I said earlier in this thread sometimes one has to hit rock bottom to straighten oneself up. A little time in the clink might be good for him as a wake up call. My brother was in and out of rehab multiple times before he went to prison and that was his wake up call and he has been sober for years now. Rehab only does good for people that want help, not those forced into it. I have no sympathy for drunk driving because of other people's lives are put at risk because of one's actions. I've lost 2 of my best friends to drunk driving and in this day and age there is no excuse for it. Look what just happened to Johnny Gaudreau and his brother last fall because of drunk driving. So tragic and totally preventable. I'm also of the thought that we as people should be forgiving. If he serves his time, shows remorse and cleans himself up, he should be forgivin

When he ran his drivers license it said Suspended. 12 point Suspension. Driving on 12 point suspension is  1st degree misdemeanor that's automatic 3 days jail.

I would suspect that after the way that entire incident went down, he would be charged with every violation and be given no breaks. But then again, who knows what happens after the camera turns off and behind closed doors.

A-A-Ron had a winner and a few on the board finishes to aid in his legal defense fund.  And kudos the The Meadows for offering a work release program for drunks who threaten police officers.  Wonder who is driving him there?  Can’t imagine greyhound has a direct route to the Meadows.  😂

So true...however, technically you are never "cured" so to speak. You always have the disease. You are simply "recovered" or "in recovery" in that you are clean and sober. It's kind of ironic that when a person is clean and sober, and hasn't drank for 5, 10, 20 years, or whatever, they still say, "I'm an alcoholic" or "I am a recovering alcoholic." I hope Aaron has hit rock bottom and makes the decision the get the help he needs and gets clean and sober.
