JUDGES GET TOUGH ON BEARDS AT HARRAHS CHESTER!!!!

Looks like 7 or 8 horses scratched  by Judges. Adrian Wisher and Jonathan McFadden.

Word out is that they are beards??

I commend the judges for finally taking decisive action--I empathize with any owners who may be adversely affected, as they could be innocent parties, and the horses should never have been permitted to have been entered in the races.They passed the race office--but NOT the Judges thankfully. Scratches negatively impact the track handle and the racing experience, which cannot be beneficial.

Cracking down is great, but the penalty system needs revamped. Serious positives deserve days but these class 3 and 4s need to just be monetary. Make the fines hurt. Commissions don’t need days they need money on their books.

excellent post IMHO.
Been saying this for ages---Class 3-4 are therapeutic drugs that have no effect on the horses performance as long as the levels were not off the chart--so a fine should be the only penalty. No trainer I believe would like getting fined for one of these--and to lose a race AND get days-is wrong .

agree, tougher penalties on these beards etc need to be implemented
monetary penalties always hurt if significant enough
 lengthy days off  for trainer as well
horse not allowed to be transferred and cannot race for 30 days

sure sucks for the owners but cmon they know who they are with, once it hits the owners pocket books they will wise up and stop supporting these guys
