Cumberland 1st
« on: December 13, 2024, 11:23:28 AM »
Just caught the first from Cumberland on FD+ and got to see something I haven't witnessed before. Campbell attempts to go wire to wire on the 4, with Ingraham pulling three wide turning for home and closing strongly on the 5. It looks like Ingraham gets up, and he comes back for the photo with Campbell apparently heading straight back to the paddock. I wasn't so sure, first race I have etver watched from that track and apparently the video camera angle is for shit, amd I noted when they were about 20 feet passed the wire and in a straight line with the camera Campbell was still in front. And wouldn't  you know, the drivers were both wrong and Campbell did hold on, and despite a call from the track announcer, did not come back for the photo.
