Definitely looks like Tim Tetrick has put on some weight, his driving silks are starting to look pudgy.

I'd have to look. He showed up at the Meadowlands around March. There was no question then that he gained a significant amount. I thought he would have taken some off.

Tetrick drives at Dover Downs almost every night, and from his house in New Jersey he drives thru Delaware which has alot of fast-food restaurants and donut shops, so it would be easy for him to gain weight.

Tim had one hip replaced in 2008.  It is now 16 years.  I have noticed that he "ambles" a bit when he walks and he may have some discomfort from that and be taking cortisone if there is any inflammation etc.  Cortisone can cause an increase in appetite, give the face a chubbier appearance etc.  Pure speculation, but that was first thought when I saw his face earlier this year.

LUCPARK:

While Tetrick is nowhere near as pudgy as Jody Jameson, who by the way won a race at Red Mile on Saturday, he's definitely put on weight which could be due to his eating on the road alot because he travels so much, plus he's getting older.

SeattleSlew:

If I'm not mistaken, I believe Tim had his other hip replaced too a few years later. I had my right hip replaced 2 years ago and still hopple some but I'm alot older than him.

Tim didn't wake up one day, forget how to drive, and people noticed, so he lost business because his skills diminished. His business dropped because of more competition in the driver's room, his clientele wasn't producing the results they once did, and he started to lose horsepower. It's that simple. I don't squat about his eating habits, LOL. His health (physical) certainly could have an impact. He's had both hips replaced, one in his late 20's and one at age 32! Not good. The second surgery didn't go as well as the first. Even today, 10 plus years later, he still doesn't walk normal, very well, etc. So that can absolutely be an issue and have an impact.

Yup. He’s old and washed up.
