They fired the track guy couple weeks back b/c he told some slacker employee to do something. Nobody there now can even start the grader let alone run it.  Such a pit! -   but... we should just be happy to have a place to race and shut our faces!!!

Flamboro doesn't care diddley-squatt about harness racing. It's all about the casino.

That almost made me spit up my coffee it was so funny. It's sad really. I know I'm in the minority but I like the racing on a half except Yonkers. Nobody should ever wager a dime at that place. Wild west of drugs and corruption.

Agree
Yonkers terrible racing.
Same as Mohawk.
All single file racing and horses off to top
still give it up in the stretch after having it all
their own way.
All standardbred races should be 1/4 mile races only.
Just maybe we would actually see a RACE.

Way back when, in the 80's and 90's, I always liked Flamboro. I went to the Confederation Cup many times. A lot of great racing and memories from history there. Like many, the track has fallen from grace. Having a casino may keep it open, but who knows.

its too bad Yonkers and other 1/2 miles don't race the way they do at Delaware
lets be honest, the big m and Mohawk are boring racing for the size of the track, if you are not in the top 5 at the 1/2 and certainly at the 3/4 you have no shot in 90% of the races
at delaware some guys actually try to fire out from the outside posts where at yonkers they are automatic take backs
it can actually make for exciting racing and some huge payoffs when the favorite gets ousted and a long price from the outside comes in

Many years ago Yonkers experimented with shorter and longer distances. I remember they even had a 9/16 of a mile short race.
