Pelling said he believed that Bob Glazer (Peter Pan) never got over the Panderosa fiasco at the Meadows where they found 4 nanograms of Morphine in his system and he and Pelling got shafted when a bunch of other trainers got wrist slaps for the same offense.
I got the shaft at the Meadows one time as well. Haven’t been back since.

I don't know if any of this is considered "disappeared" ----- however -----

1) David Brooks (Bulletproof Enterprises) died in prison while serving a 17-year sentence.

2) Ray Remmen retired and still around, attends various events, etc. (Larry is semi-retired as well and does the same).

3) Bob Glazer/Peter Pan, while part of it was absolutely the incident at the Meadows, you can ask Bob and Brett about that directly. Hear it from the horse's mouth, no pun intended, LOL. However, Bob's interest and passion in the business was impacted by two major things. One, he went from a big buyer of yearlings, to a big breeder of yearlings. His business and business model changed. That's night and day in the business. He spoke about this a lot in some interviews he gave. Two, his mother died, and they were very close and both had a passion for the sport and business, so when she died, Bob lost the person who he shared a lot of the business and sport with.

The trustees made the business decision to sell the horses and the farm, and no longer be a commercial breeder. Highest and best use, LOL.

The Gernatt Family (Dan Sr. and Flavia) had a very interesting story. The end result was that Dan Sr. became very disenchanted with the business and publicly announced he was getting out of the business because it wasn't economically feasible any longer. He ended up getting out by the mid-90's. The family is still around and operates a holding company which used to have a variety of business interests and operations, from trucking, gravel, grain, and mining.
