Good point. If he quits like a bitch...you are right...18 out of 20 first or second...I guess he's only quit twice this year. LOL.

I think the Jug can be an anomaly and enigmatic race. Only a truly great horse can overcome bad post/bad trip. I am not saying he's one, but that's why the run the races, LOL.
There are 2 big factors with these 2 for the LBJ.. post draw AND most importantly is how each would handle a second heat.. It will be the first and only time either horse would race 2 heats.. Nobody on here can honestly say which one would handle the 2nd heat better. So flip a coin and enjoy the showdown.

It also depends on how they are trained. In the first Breeders Crown when Dragon's Lair upset Nihilator, it was later revealed, Jeff Mallet would go out on the track after Dragon's Lair would race and go another mile. Essentially Jeff Mallet outdid the big boys.

Casie's two horses will be ready for the Jug and trained to handle the 2 heats.  Beaton worked for her and has been involved with winning Jug horses from the past.  Post position is the biggest factor.

IMO Nijinsky is better suited for the half mile track.  He has a quicker brush and more gate speed than Legendary, and the four turns may take something out of the bigger horse. Having to do it twice may be too much.  Unless Legendary draws the rail in the final I think Nijinsky has the clear advantage.
