You will fit here perfectly. Another inbred, illiterate hillbilly. Welcome.

Go down the list of the families out of the business. I have 3 daughters, not one of them was involved in the business, pretty much they hated it cause I was never around. Missed softball, soccer dance classes. They knew it paid the bills, and very comfortable life style, but they were smart enough to stay away. I'm third and last generation. This sport has had chances to clean up, never did and never will. They have taken everything to the limits, nothing scares them because they will always be allowed back in the game. DEATH penalty doesn't scare them at all.

I was a real sucker as a kid when watching movies as i always wanted to see the hero show up and clean up the problems and yes that made me happy but in horse racing it seems like the hero never shows up and evil get all the glory,,,,,,back when i was a kid a big race had good guys,,,,,,,, A stake race would be DEL MILLER,,,BILLY OR HIS SON HAUGHTON,,,,JOHN HAYES JR,,,, JIM MILLER,,,,,DOUG ARTHUR,,, THE KOPAS FAMILY AND many others like this but today its BRET PELLING  RON BURKE  TRAVIS ALEXANDER  LINDA TOSCANO  AND TEAM TATKER and what a letdown that is for racing and yes the drivers are better now but JOE O BRIEN always closed a hole so did everyone on my first list,,,,,,How did it get so bad,,,,

Jupiter is right. Who wants their kid to be involved in this sport going forward. Who knows how much longer this business is even going to be viable.

My son has always wanted to be a marine biologist and I'm certainly not going to try to talk him into following in my footsteps.
