Barry's call says it all at Scioto tuesday 7-23-24

Race 16.  1 way Aaron with cheapest horses on the grounds as a 1/2 favorite. Cutting the mile as follows:  26.2 54.0 1.21.1.  When they hit the top of the stretch, Barry says 'the fuel light is blinking.  Aaron's horse 'comes to a walk' and finishes 4th in the race that went 1.52.0. Way to 'gut' a horse and not even win (minor spoils).

He does it all the time.  People bash Yannick, but at least he wins some big races.  A-a-ron is way worse in my opinion when it comes to gutting a horse.

The horse being talked about in this thread was up by 10 lengths at the half, 12 at the 3/4s and 5 at the top of the stretch.  He lost by 7.  The ultimate irony, the horse's name is Rose Run Yannick.

  • Sweet: The fact of the matter is the win pool on Beau Jangles was I believe a negative pool,  his real odds not 1/9 but 1/99.  Enough already, we're the real patrons of thius F'ing sport, many of us also care for these animals despite the best don't want drugs and whipping, abuse.  Competition yes!

  • Lockedin with Pace: Robust Hanover was a very small horse driven by William O'Donnell. In fact the late Stan Bergstein used to refer to him as the "little peanut".
