Virgil Morgan is the best to buy off after he claims one.  Guranteed he will inject every joint, re shoe the horse, baycox him, and worm him up.  Claim him after and you get it all for free!

When I first read this thread I thought Luc meant buy off as in bribe  ngc3

I know what he meant now so I'll say that you probably can't improve anything that Pelling has.  Ask Eric Provost about his $130,000 purchase a few months ago that has gotten back next to nothing since.

Are we listing the ones that are so good or the ones that are chemists?

Both I guess, basically one's that cannot be improved on and you will lose money buying a horse from every time.

I tried buying off a trainer/driver.  He had a 2/5 in the race and looked like the nutz. I offered him 500.00 to be a no go so we could cash a good ticket. Small time owner (1) horse at the time. He didn’t pay on time so I thought it was no sweat. Trainer/Driver asked me what I was smoking.  At that period in time the only trifecta was the last race and usually had 50/75k in it. He won at 2/5. I also was giving him a cut of the winnings.

  • dougie: Kirby's Ace, I used to like going to Key West 40 years ago. It has become so crowded with tourists. I'm heading down in late March and i'm staying for a week at the Boca Raton Hotel. It's nice and pretty close to my family and friends.
