Things Must Be Slow at Saratoga Raceway
« on: July 09, 2024, 04:00:02 PM »
Ever go on the Saratoga Raceway website? One of the past features is a regular column written by track announcer Mike Sardella. I kind of looked forward to reading the regular updates. Now if you visit Sardella’s Column the last time he had anything to say was February 28. Four plus months and Mike can’t find anything to write about. What should a fan think about this?

Mike was writing for what few fans are left at Saratoga.  Many of the Saratoga 'regular' drivers and trainers head off to Plainridge for more purse money too! Tough to write articles when the "locals" aren't "local anymore!  Mitch Cushing won 5 races a week ago Saturday night at Saratoga and not a word of it on USTA and a Sardella article.  I believe that Sardella is only part-time now as his kids are growing up and he has other more pressing issues to deal with called life.

mike looked at the number of views his article had and it was only 3 after it was up a week, if he posted it here he would have thousands of views

In all my years, I've never seen so much chalk at Saratoga Harness.

Mike is a lazy shit. They race 3 days a week and he’s a no show calling the races most weeks and you’re asking him to do another task ? He should be shown the door. His calls suck. His picks aren’t any different than Dave Little. A 2/5 Best Bet that he brags about if it wins. Worthless.
