Race#1-3 WRITE ME A ROSE 9-2 ML In thought tonight, wide open event. Picks up McCarthy again, I’d look for him to be in the outer flow tonight though. Daddy Fellows had a long history of winning races NA cup night, rather him at a price then Logan Park at 2-5 in the next race.

Race#8-#4 LINEDRIVE HANOVER 10-1 ML This is definitely the most wide open race tonight, despite a looming heavy fave drawing outside. With his most recent effort at Northfield a huge disappointment, I expect a rebound performance tonight, should go off bombs away. If he gets a helmet to follow in the stretch, he can be right there.

Race#11-#8 LEGENDARY HANOVER 6-1 ML Raced great in his elimination, just got nipped late by Fillions steed. They are going to be firing off the wings tonight, fully expect a quarter in 25 & change, half in 53, if this happens, it sets it up for LH kick coming home. Captains Quarters elimination stands out but it was an earlier race, track wore down through the evening & he got the trip of a lifetime. I think Funtime Bayama gets worn out early & Nijinsky does lots of leg work grinding.

Race#12-#1 STONE CARVER 3-1 ML Liked him last week but he was taken off the wings & essentially out of it after the first turn. Dave Miller certainly won’t help his price tonight, should at least leave some off the car, hate betting the rail but like him best. If he’s bet off the board 7-5 or less, he’s a hard pass.

did all the heavy lifting first over providing the golden 2nd over trip for Captains Quarters

any type of decent trip puts him right there at the wire

should be a wild race and fun to watch

Should be a fun night!    All the trot races look very chalky.  The first race Preferred could be the fastest on the card having a full field of quality older pacers racing in daylight.

In the third I really like #1 ANGOSTURA HANOVER.  Beaten favorite v similar guns 'em down if Henry can follow a live helmut.

The pick 4 starting with race 4 looks pretty chalky.  Can maybe be hit going no more than 2 deep in any leg.

Gold Cup should be exciting!  Probably a pass for me unless the odds dictate otherwise.

Note that there are pick fives starting on both the 7th and 9th races.

The horse I like best all night is in the nightcap.  #2 AMERICAN HISTORY destroyed a similar field the last time he raced this low.  His last against better was a fine effort and clearly demonstrates fitness coming home in :53.4 three wide around dead excess cover.  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BXeT3Dykex4
