the regulars are left out in the cold and starving as they got a total of 5 outside drives (3 by John Macdonald for Jessica Okusko) not including the ones they train and drive.  Didn't regulars at least get a few drives on days like this in the past, or is this the new business motto in racing today?

Unfortunately the driving colony at Vernon is not very strong. Trainers and owners have too much invested in stakes horses to not use the top catch drivers that make the trip to Vernon.

Maybe if you thought about it you’d realize a lot of the guys at Vernon are bringing young ones along and actually teaching them to race instead of just going balls to the wall every time they place foot on the track.

I watched most of the races yesterday and he was horrible.  It just seems he is uneducated about racing.

The timer malfunctioned at the quarter a couple times and he couldn't figure out what was going on when it was apparent. 

He missed breakers all the time while wasting time calling out the stragglers.
 
After the track got scraped and was in perfect condition for a fast mile due to the earlier rainstorm he had no clue it was even possible.  etc etc etc.
